PRESERVING ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE: Our team conducted comprehensive exterior restoration work on the historic Woodside Church in Troy, NY, meticulously preserving its distinctive 19th-century character.
BLUESTONE RECONSTRUCTION CHALLENGE: The project centered on an intricate "life-sized puzzle" of numbered bluestone facade pieces that had been carefully removed and cataloged. Our specialists painstakingly reassembled these original elements to maintain the building's authentic appearance
AUTHENTIC MATERIAL SOURCING: Where sections of the original 1868 bluestone proved too deteriorated for preservation, our team sourced period-appropriate matching bluestone, ensuring seamless integration with the historic facade.
STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY RESTORATION: Before reinstalling any stonework, we constructed a robust backup wall system to provide essential structural support and prevent future deterioration.
COMPREHENSIVE EXTERIOR RENEWAL: The restoration extended beyond stonework to include new slate roofing, replacement coping stones, and extensive repointing throughout the facade, revitalizing this architectural treasure for generations to come.
