Project Description:
SUNY Adirondack Culinary Center
PROJECT OVERVIEW: This project delivered an 8,107-square-foot tenant improvement within a recently constructed 5-story building at 14 Hudson Avenue in Glens Falls, NY. The existing building was completed in 2016, with this educational space developed as part of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) for Glens Falls.
FACILITY COMPONENTS: The comprehensive build-out created specialized learning environments, including faculty offices, student spaces, dedicated classrooms, a teaching bakeshop, and a commercial kitchen designed to support a teaching restaurant lab. The facility includes a 2,045-square-foot dining area, 1,045-square-foot teaching kitchen, 650-square-foot bake shop, and two classrooms of nearly 400 square feet each.
EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE: The completed facility provides hands-on culinary education space operated by students and faculty of SUNY Adirondack. This practical training environment enables students to develop front-of-house and back-of-house operational skills in a restaurant setting.
