Skidmore Boathouse interior PROJECT OVERVIEW: The comprehensive renovation of the Valentine Boat House supports the growing needs of both Skidmore's Varsity rowing program and the Saratoga Community Rowing programs. This facility upgrade serves organizations recognized for excellence at regional and national levels while preparing for future expansion.

FACILITY PLANNING: Exterior upgrades were strategically designed to complement future development plans, including a 3,400-square-foot team training facility and a dedicated sculling pavilion. This forward-thinking approach ensures seamless integration with upcoming phases of the athletic complex.

EXTERIOR DEVELOPMENT: The project delivered complete site development, including new roadways, expanded parking areas, paved surfaces, comprehensive landscaping, and utility infrastructure. These improvements enhance accessibility while creating a more functional campus environment for athletes and visitors.

CONSTRUCTION SCOPE: Work encompassed selective demolition, foundation reinforcement, superstructure construction, exterior envelope improvements, and complete roofing systems. Interior renovations included new partitions, custom-built casework, specialized furnishings, and comprehensive finishes throughout the facility.

ATHLETIC IMPACT: The modernized Valentine Boat House provides enhanced training and competition support for Skidmore's rowing programs. These comprehensive upgrades ensure the facility meets current athletic standards while supporting the college's commitment to competitive excellence and community engagement.
